Chevrolet Making Dreams Possible
Chevrolet and the Coaching Association of Canada know that medal-winning performances are fueled by preparation. Without coaches and funding, the dream of winning an international medal is just that – a dream.
As an extension of its Olympic and Paralympic sponsorship, and to complement its commitment to amateur sport, Chevrolet created Making Dreams Possible, a national program to support coaches and their athletes at all levels of coaching excellence. Club Coaching Grants are awarded bi-annually to local sport clubs, leagues and associations across Canada to support community coaching at the grassroots level. High Performance Coach Grants are awarded each year to top Canadian athletes and their coaches in order to help them achieve their goals of reaching the Olympic podium.

Podium Coach Professional Development Program
Podium Coach is a professional development program for the coaches of potential Olympic and Paralympic medalists that commenced in early 2007. The objective of the program is to ensure that these coaches have the training they require to successfully prepare their athletes for medal performances at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The program provides opportunities for:
- customized training and education;
- exchange of ideas with international colleagues;
- consultation with respected mentors;
- sport-specific courses or projects that may count towards the completion of NCCP requirements;
- team professional development opportunities to enhance the preparation of the national team coaching staff.
